Mechanical Filtration: The first stage employs a dual-layer approach, utilizing both coarse and fine filters, to remove a wide range of suspended debris as the water is pumped into the filter. This effectively eliminates unwanted particles of all sizes.

Biological Filtration: As the water reaches the bottom of the filter, the bio-balls within are designed to cultivate a colony of beneficial bacteria. These microorganisms help convert unwanted waste products into materials that promote a healthy pond ecosystem.

Ultraviolet Filtration: The final stage utilizes ultraviolet light to eradicate any remaining undesirable materials that have managed to pass through the previous filtration steps.

The cleaning process for these pressure filters varies slightly between the handle and non-handle versions. For both, flushing the filter is a straightforward task - simply shut off the pump, rotate the valve from the filter to the flush position, then turn the pump back on until the water runs clear. Once cleared, rotate the valve back to the filter position to resume normal operation.

The handle-equipped models offer an additional cleaning option. Pumping the handle while backwashing compresses the filters, enabling an efficient cleaning without compromising the established colony of beneficial bacteria.

These pressure filters can be placed partially in-ground next to the pond, or they can operate above or below the pond's surface. When connected to a water fountain, they return the water to the pond with a flourish.
